About Amanda

Amanda Lastella is a Long Island-based artist. She received her BA in Fine Arts and Psychology from Hofstra University, later graduating with her MSEd for Fine Arts Education there as well. She teaches art at the elementary level, where she encourages her students to seek out their own interests and creative path by exploring a wide range of media through which to express their own thoughts and ideas. When not teaching, she can frequently be found hiking Long Island and beyond, looking for inspiration from the sites she visits to integrate into artwork that captures both a location’s essence and inner explorations of vulnerable, quiet moments.
